Unpacking: A Zen Puzzle Adventure Game
Unpacking is a meditative puzzle game developed by Witch Beam, available on the PlayStation 4 platform. The game is all about the familiar experience of unpacking possessions and fitting them into a new home. It is a perfect blend of “item Tetris” and home decoration. The player is invited to create a satisfying living space while learning clues about the life they are unpacking.
The game is divided into eight house moves, each with its own unique domestic environment. The gameplay is meditative and relaxing, with no timers, meters, or scores. This allows the player to fully immerse themselves in the game and explore every nook and cranny of the different homes. As you progress through the game, you will discover a character's story through the items that come with them to each new home, and the items that get left behind. The soundtrack by BAFTA award-winning composer and audio director Jeff van Dyck adds to the immersive experience of the game.
